Categories are shown on the right side. Only categories that actually contain stories are displayed. If you are in the Newsroom, then categories are determined by articles in the Newsroom. If there is a story in the Newsroom with a category that is not yet published (i.e. the category has no "published" news) then that category will not be displayed on the Front Page News section.
